For this week’s class homework, I continued my enjoyable struggle with the dip pen. I also realized I don’t really know how to draw water hitting the ground (and I didn’t sketch that part beforehand, so my failed attempt was in permanent ink). Ah well. Not my best, but I think the class will enjoy it, since it’s been raining all week, and will probably rain most of the weekend.
Well, I can confidently reassert that I have no idea how to caricature Ariana, but it was fun to draw this girl and her dog anyway.
Not that I can really caricature anybody, but for some reason I find my niece especially difficult to draw. In fact, I couldn’t even bear to show you what I have right now, but I’ll tackle it with fresh eyes tomorrow!
No real story here; just wanted to practice my comic sketching and inking process.
Well, it’s been a whole week, and I still miss Hershel, the creepy mountain lion who guards the Gadsden Hotel in Douglas, AZ.
